Welcome to Cloud 9, the best place to get hygge and find tranquility amid the cedars and rolling hills of the wild west shore of Vancouver Island. We are located in the hamlet of Shirley, 20 minutes west of Sooke, on the Pacific Marine Circle Route, which has been compared to the Cabot Trail* for its beauty and rugged majesty.

The summer season is almost at an end, but there's still lots of beautiful weather ahead! September is a fantastic time to explore Vancouver Island at reduced rates, and we have plenty of availability for your fall adventures. Shoulder season rates begin September 16.
UPDATE: The Alder Tent, despite coming online late in the season, was a tremendous success, and, after being full for the Labour Day weekend has been put away until the May long weekend 2025. The Alder is a 10 person tent, made up for 2-5 people, with a queen bed, an optional twin bed, and/or double air mattress. Interior photos are now posted on the About Cloud 9 page.

The new greenhouse dining area is turning out to be very popular, not just for mealtime, but for hanging out on rainy days. It is a great multi-purpose venue, and can seat up to 10 people.
There is a pad behind the Hemlock on which you can pitch a small tent to put the kids or extra friends. For more information and rates, please contact us.
